1. General Provisions
These General Terms & Conditions of Sale prevail over any general purchasing conditions, which are not enforceable against the Company. Any booking or purchase of services constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
The Company declines all responsibility should passengers fail to adhere to these Terms, or to general or specific maritime regulations. It also reserves the right to claim compensation for any damages resulting from such non-compliance.
2. Cruise Guidelines
2.1 Company Commitment: Le Bateau Français will make every effort to deliver the cruise experience as outlined at the time of booking.
2.2 Passenger Responsibilities
• Once invited to board, guests are expected to promptly and strictly follow the crew’s instructions.
• Dangerous items or animals are not permitted onboard unless expressly authorized.
• In the event of non-compliance with safety or crew instructions, the Company reserves the right to deny boarding, interrupt the cruise, or disembark guests.
• Children must remain under parental supervision at all times, including during embarkation and disembarkation.
• The Company bears no responsibility in the event of loss, theft, or damage to clothing, personal effects, or hand luggage.
2.3 Exceptional Circumstances
The Company cannot be held liable for incidents resulting from unforeseen circumstances such as floods, storms, collisions, or any other force majeure event.
3. Booking & Payment
3.1 Confirmation
Reservations are only considered confirmed once full payment has been received and accepted by the Company.
3.2 Timing
Cruise schedules are agreed upon with the client. In the event of late arrival, the duration of the cruise may be shortened accordingly, or additional time may be invoiced on a pro- rata basis, subject to availability.
3.3 Payment Terms
All services must be paid in full prior to departure. Any additional charges (e.g., overtime or optional services) may be settled at the end of the cruise. Confirmation and captain contact details will be sent via email after payment.
4. Cancellation Policy
Should the Company determine that navigation is unsafe due to exceptional circumstances—such as severe flooding, mechanical failure, or official river closures—it reserves the right to modify or cancel the cruise. In such cases, any deposits received will be refunded in full. No additional compensation shall be due.
Please note that rain or adverse weather conditions are not considered valid grounds for cancellation, as our vessels are equipped to ensure comfort and enjoyment even in less favorable weather.
Any cancellation initiated by the client will be subject to the following terms:
– More than 72 hours before departure: 90% refund
– Between 72 and 48 hours: 50% refund
– Less than 48 hours: no refund
In case of a late arrival exceeding 30 minutes, the Company reserves the right to shorten or cancel the service without refund.
5. Minors
Reservations may not be made directly by minors. Bookings for underage passengers must be made by an adult with legal authority, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
French law prohibits the sale or distribution of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18.
6. Accessibility
Due to technical constraints, not all areas of the vessel are accessible to individuals with reduced mobility. Bookings from such individuals are subject to feasibility and the presence of a dedicated accompanying adult, as per EU Regulation No. 1177/2010.
7. Applicable Law
In case of dispute, French law shall apply exclusively. Legal disputes shall be submitted to the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris.
